Plain English, because a contract nobody reads protects nobody. These terms cover the website you are on. The work itself is governed by the written proposal and scope you sign before anything is built, and where the two disagree, that signed document wins.

Using this site

You are welcome to read, share and link to anything here. The words, code, film and artwork on this site belong to Sygaltech and are not free to copy into your own site or product. Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape at volume, or gain unauthorised access to any part of it.

Estimates are estimates

The calculator and the ranges printed on this site are honest indications, not quotes and not offers. A binding number only exists once we have talked about your actual project and put it in writing. Nothing on this site creates a contract on its own.

How projects work

Every engagement starts with a written scope that states what is being built, what it costs, what is not included, and when payments fall due. Work is billed per milestone rather than in full upfront, on the plan published in the How you pay section of the home page unless your signed scope says otherwise. Invoices are sent by email with a secure payment link and can be paid by credit card on the processor’s hosted page or by bank transfer. We never collect card details over the phone or by email, and we do not store card numbers. Invoices are due within 7 days, and work pauses if one is more than 14 days overdue. Changes to scope are priced and scheduled in writing before they are built.

You own the work you pay for. Code lives in a repository you can watch from the first commit, and on final payment full ownership and admin access to the code, the design files and the accounts transfer to you. Third-party components keep their own licences, and we tell you which ones we have used.

The assistant on this page

The chat assistant is a convenience. It can be wrong, and nothing it says is a quote, a commitment or professional advice. Anything that matters should come from a person, in writing.

What we do not promise

This site is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We link to work we have built and to tools we use. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they do.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes to an engagement already underway are agreed with you, not published here.
